Maitland Consulting Group is led by Ruth, who brings a strong business background combined with a passion for innovation. With a Bachelor of Business, Diploma of Teaching, and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship, Ruth oversees the company’s strategic growth and management, driving its expansion while working closely with some of Australia’s largest private sector companies, major government agencies, and a talented team of dedicated consultants.
Joining the team more recently as Director of Consulting, Michelle brings over 16 years of experience in HR and Industrial Relations across diverse sectors including mining and manufacturing. She collaborates closely with clients and consultants to carefully scope projects, ensuring the right fit to meet each project’s specific needs. Her deep understanding of challenges faced by both private and public sector organisations means clients can trust Maitland to save time and deliver meaningful results.

Maitland Consulting Group was established in 1994 to address a clear market need: organisations were struggling to identify and engage the right consulting expertise, while many skilled consultants either lacked the time or resources to market themselves effectively.
Our founders, Shelley and Ruth, brought together deep experience in organisational psychology and large-scale project delivery. They recognised the opportunity to create a trusted link between organisations seeking results and consultants capable of delivering them.
Since then, based in Perth, Western Australia Maitland has grown into a highly regarded and nationally respected firm working throughout Australia. It partners with some of Australia’s largest companies, as well as federal, state, and local government agencies. We remain committed to delivering exceptional outcomes by connecting the right people with the right challenges.
